Idoso morre atropelado por caminhão em Americana

Um idoso de 64 anos, identificado como Luiz Carlos Moreira, morreu atropelado por um caminhão, na manhã desta terça-feira (23), em Americana (SP).

De acordo com informações do Corpo de Bombeiros, o acidente aconteceu em frente à casa da vítima, na Rua Antônio Luchesi, região do São Luiz.

O caminhão estava carregado com massa asfáltica e ao realizar uma manobra de marcha à ré, atingiu o idoso na rua.

O motorista da empresa que presta serviços para o Departamento de Água e Esgoto (DAE), afirmou que não teve como evitar o acidente, pois não viu a vítima.

O Corpo de Bombeiros socorreu o idoso para o Hospital Municipal Dr. Waldemar Tebaldi, mas ele não resistiu aos ferimentos.

O helicóptero Águia da Polícia Militar (PM) também auxiliou no resgate.
