O Exército e a Polícia Civil do Rio de Janeiro recuperaram mais duas armas que haviam sido furtadas do Arsenal de Guerra do Quartel em Barueri (SP), em 10 de outubro. Segundo o Comando Militar do Sudeste (CMSE), as duas metralhadoras .50 foram encontradas no Rio de Janeiro, na madrugada desta quarta-feira (1º).

Na ação, as equipes também apreenderam um fuzil 7,62 e investigam a origem dele. Com isso, já foram recuperadas 19 das 21 metralhadoras que foram furtadas do Arsenal de Guerra.

Em nota, o CMSE afirmou que “o Exército considera o episódio inaceitável e seguirá realizando todos os esforços necessários para a recuperação de todo o armamento no mais curto prazo e a responsabilização de todos os autores”.
