Policiais Militares do 48º BPMI passam a usar câmeras acopladas no uniforme

O 48° Batalhão de Polícia Militar do Interior (BPMI) começou a utilizar, nesta terça-feira (01), câmeras portáteis para registrar atividades e ocorrências atendidas pelos agentes. O equipamento é acoplado aos uniformes dos policiais e grava em tempo real, além de capturar som.

Segundo o batalhão, o equipamento será usado em Sumaré (SP), Hortolândia (SP), Monte Mor (SP) e Nova Odessa (SP). “Ou seja, todas as abordagens, fiscalizações, buscas, varreduras, acidentes e demais interações com o público são registradas independentemente da ação do policial”, afirma a corporação, em nota.

De acordo com a corporação, os equipamentos são uma forma de garantir a produção de provas judiciais durante ocorrências criminais, já que há a coleta de registros de incidentes de violência doméstica e agressões.

Os registros também ajudam a garantir os direitos individuais dos cidadãos. Todas as imagens são captadas por meio de live streaming e o material é armazenado e fica disponível para acesso remoto das autoridades de segurança e judiciais.
