Civi realiza ação sobre prevenção de quedas de pessoas idosas

O Centro de Valorização do Idoso de Americana (Civi), órgão vinculado à Secretaria de Assistência Social e Direitos Humanos, realiza na próxima sexta-feira (25) atividades alusivas ao Dia Mundial de Prevenção de Quedas, que é celebrado em 24 de Junho. A data, escolhida pela Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) e incluída no calendário do Ministério da Saúde, serve para alertar pessoas de todas as idades, mas sobretudo os idosos, sobre os riscos de queda.

De maneira interativa, o Civi passará informações sobre os cuidados que devem ser adotados dentro de casa para se evitar quedas e fatores que promovem a independência física. Além disso, serão realizados exercícios que contribuem para a melhoria do equilíbrio e marcha. O evento tem o apoio do Sindicato Nacional dos Aposentados e será realizado a partir das 9 horas.
