O material saiu do Paraguai com destino à região de Araraquara (SP).

Após interceptação pelos caças da Força Aérea Brasileira, o piloto da aeronave pousou em pista de terra, próxima à Rodovia Brigadeiro Faria Lima. Ele abandonou o avião e fugiu pela mata.

Equipes fizeram buscas pela região para encontrar os ocupantes do avião, mas até esta publicação, ninguém havia sido detido.

A apreensão da droga e do avião foi encaminhada para a Delegacia da Polícia Federal em Araraquara, para os procedimentos de Polícia Judiciária.

A ação aconteceu em conjunto com o Comando de Operações Aeroespaciais (Comae), o Comando de Aviação Militar da PM/SP (Águia) e o Grupo Especial de Fronteira (Grefon/MT).
