Dupla que transportava 276 pássaros em veículo, é detida por crime ambiental em Limeira

A Polícia Militar Rodoviária (PMR) autuou na manhã deste domingo (3), dois homens que transportavam aves silvestres na Rodovia Anhanguera (SP-330), em Limeira (SP). No veículo, a polícia encontrou 13 caixas com 276 pássaros.

De acordo com a corporação, a dupla seguia em um Volkswagen Passat e recebeu ordem de parada no km 149 da rodovia, sentido Americana (SP).

Durante a fiscalização no veículo, foram encontrados cinco pássaros preto do brejo, 36 canários-da-terra, 50 jandaias coquinho e 185 pássaros preto. As aves eram adultas e estavam sendo transportadas em condições precárias.

Os dois homens foram encaminhados à delegacia e indiciados por transporte ilegal e maus-tratos a pássaros da fauna brasileira. Eles foram liberados após prestar depoimento e vão responder ao processo em liberdade.

A Polícia Ambiental foi notificada e as aves apreendidas serão devolvidas à natureza.
