Homem é preso em Rio Claro por maus-tratos a animais

Um homem foi preso por maus-tratos a animais, na última quarta-feira (11), no bairro Cervezão, em Rio Claro (SP). Ele vai responder por maus-tratos a seis cachorros, sendo quatro fêmeas, um macho e um filhote.

A Guarda Municipal chegou na residência, na Rua M-20, através de uma denúncia. No local, os guardas constataram que os animais estavam infestados de pulgas e privados de comida e água, dependendo de vizinhos para receberem o mínimo de comida. O local também estava bastante insalubre, com acúmulo de lixo e fezes, além de baratas e mosquitos.

A médica veterinária do Departamento de Proteção Animal (DPA) foi até o local e constatou a situação de maus-tratos. Os cachorros foram resgatados e socorridos ao Canil Municipal, onde receberão tratamento adequado.

O responsável pelos animais foi levado ao Plantão Policial e ficou à disposição da Justiça.
