Senador Major Olimpio morre por complicações da Covid-19

Senador major Olimpio, de 58 anos, teve morte cerebral nessa quinta-feira (18) e faleceu no Hospital São Camilo, em São Paulo, onde estava internado por conta da Covid-19.

O parlamentar estava internado desde o início do mês de março, na capital Paulista, para tratamento da Covid-19. Major Olimpio deixa esposa e dois filhos.

Antes de se dedicar à carreira política, serviu como Policial Militar no Estado de São Paulo por 29 anos e foi instrutor de tiro.

Nas redes sociais, a família publicou “Com muita dor no coração, comunicamos a morte cerebral do grande pai, irmão e amigo, Senador Major Olimpio. Por lei a família terá que aguardar 12 horas para confirmar o óbito e está verificando quais órgãos serão doados. Obrigado por tudo que fez por nós, pelo nosso Brasil”.
