Polícia Ambiental encontra animais silvestres em cativeiro

Cerca de dez animais silvestres foram encontrados em cativeiro pela Polícia Ambiental, nesta quarta-feira (18), em Limeira (SP). O dono recebeu uma multa no valor de R$ 8 mil reais.

No bairro Jardim Nova Conquista, foram encontrados oito aves e dois jabutis, sendo um cardeal (paroaria coronata) sem um pedaço da perna direita e sem anilla; um bicudo (oryzoborus maximiliani) sem anilha; um papagaio verdadeiro (amazona aestiva); quatro filhotes de jacu (penelope jacquacu); um chopim do brejo (pseudoleistes guirahuro); e dois jabutis (chelonoidis chilensis).

A Polícia Militar Ambiental informou que os animais eram mantidos em cativeiro de maneira ilegal. Por conta disso, o proprietário recebeu uma multa no valor de R$ 8 mil.
