De acordo com a Guarda Municipal de Americana (GAMA), a vítima estava cumprindo a pena por sequestro na Penitenciária de Itapetininga, e estava solto desde o último dia 23 devido ao indulto de natal.
O cadáver será encaminhado para o Instituto Médico Legal (IML). O caso foi registrado na Central de Polícia Judiciária (CPJ).
