Um idoso de 77 anos, identificado como  Eduardo dos Santos, morreu atropelado por um carro na alça de acesso da Rodovia Luiz de Queiroz (SP-304), em Santa Bárbara d’Oeste (SP), nesta segunda-feira (14).

De acordo com informações da Polícia Militar (PM), o acidente aconteceu na altura do km 138, sentido Piracicaba, na região do bairro Vila Linópolis.

Ainda segundo a PM, a vítima tentava atravessar a pista quando um Peugeot a atingiu. O Corpo de Bombeiros foi acionado, mas o idoso não resistiu aos ferimentos.

O motorista passou pelo teste de bafômetro que não acusou a ingestão de álcool. A Polícia Civil vai apurar as circunstâncias do acidente.

O idoso morava no Jardim Itamaraty, em Santa Bárbara d’Oeste. O corpo dele foi encaminhado para o Instituto Médico Legal (IML) de Americana (SP).
