Incêndio atinge escola CAIC no Jardim Santa Rita de Cássia

Um incêndio atingiu o Centro de Atenção Integral à Criança e ao Adolescente (CAIC) Irmã Dulce, em Santa Bárbara d’Oeste (SP), na madrugada desta segunda-feira (23). O fogo teria começado em um toldo ao lado do refeitório e assustou moradores do Jardim Santa Rita de Cássia.

Conforme informações preliminares, vizinhos da unidade que fica na Rua Artur Gonçalves da Silva, ajudaram a conter as chamas até a chegada dos bombeiros. A equipe extinguiu o fogo e não houve registro de vítimas.

Nesta manhã, a Polícia Científica esteve no local para identificar as causas iniciais do incêndio. A equipe investiga se o incêndio pode ter sido criminoso.

Como as chamas não danificaram a estrutura da unidade, as aulas não foram prejudicadas.
