A Guarda Municipal de Americana (SP) prendeu um criminoso procurado por furto, na manhã desta terça-feira (6), no Jardim dos Lírios.

De acordo com a corporação, a abordagem aconteceu após um suspeito tentar fugir ao ver a viatura.

O homem de 29 anos foi em direção à Rodovia Luiz de Queiroz (SP-304), mas os guardas o alcançaram.

Ainda segundo a equipe, o abordado parecia nervoso e os agentes desconfiaram que ele poderia ter informado um nome falso.

No entanto, ao pesquisar os antecedentes, eles confirmaram os dados e descobriram um mandado de prisão em aberto pelo crime de furto.

O procurado ficou detido para cumprimento da pena.
