A Polícia Civil de Americana (SP) prendeu um rapaz de 18 anos procurado pelo estupro de uma menina de 8 anos no Maranhão. A prisão aconteceu na manhã desta terça-feira (17), em Paulínia (SP).

De acordo com a polícia, o crime aconteceu no começo desde ano no município de São Mateus do Maranhão.

Após saber que o criminoso estava na região, policiais cumpriram um mandado de prisão e o encontraram na casa de familiares no Parque Bom Retiro.

Aos agentes, o procurado afirmou que havia mudado de cidade por conta de ameaças.

A polícia conduziu o procurado para a cadeia do 2º Distrito Policial de Campinas (SP), onde ele aguarda audiência de custódia.
