O caso ocorreu por volta das 17h, no bairro Recanto das Águas.

De acordo com informações do policial, cabo Marcelino, o bebê é filho de uma vizinha dos pais dele. A mãe da criança o procurou pedindo ajuda, após o recém-nascido se engasgar.

O PM foi ao local e realizou a manobra de Heimlich, que é uma técnica de primeiros socorros aplicada em casos de asfixia. Ela induz uma tosse artificial para que o objeto seja expelido da traqueia.

Ainda segundo o policial, quando o bebê vomitou e chorou, a sensação foi inexplicável.

Durante a manobra, o PM manteve contato com a central da corporação e militares de São Pedro foram até o local.

O recém-nascido foi encaminhado até uma Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) da cidade e passa bem.

O cabo PM Marcelino, responsável pela ocorrência, pertence a 2ª companhia do Décimo Batalhão de Polícia Militar do Interior (BPMI).
