Em três dias, o município contabilizou cinco resultados positivos e agora soma 24 infectados, entre eles dois mortos. A Vigilância Epidemiológica da cidade ainda aguarda laudos de oito casos suspeitos, incluindo um óbito.

Um dos pacientes contaminados pelo novo coronavírus é homem, tem 32 anos e mora no Jardim Santa Luiza. Segundo a secretaria, ele apresentou quadro gripal, pagou exame em um laboratório particular e testou positivo para Sars-CoV-2.

O outro também é homem, tem 46 anos e reside no Jardim São Jorge. Ele procurou a rede municipal de saúde com SRAG (Síndrome Respiratória Aguda Grave), foi testado e teve a infecção confirmada. Segundo a Secretaria de Saúde, ambos passam bem e cumprem medida de isolamento domiciliar sob acompanhamento de profissionais do município.

Além dos casos positivos e suspeitos em investigação, a Secretaria de Saúde de Nova Odessa faz o monitoramento remoto de 38 pacientes com gripe. Desde o início da pandemia, dez pacientes foram curados e 34 casos descartados.

Entre os pacientes que testaram positivo está uma profissional de saúde de 40 anos, que mora no Jardim Marajoara e trabalha em um hospital privado na região.
