O acidente aconteceu no km 12, na alça de acesso à Rodovia Anhanguera (SP-330).

A carreta estava carregada com 22 toneladas de cerveja e tinha saído da sede da fabricante, em Jaguariúna (SP), com destino ao porto de Santos (SP).

Não há informações sobre o motivo do tombamento. A alça só foi liberada na manhã desta quinta-feira, de acordo com a Rota das Bandeiras, concessionária que administra o trecho.

Um representante da empresa acionou a seguradora para retirar o caminhão e o contêiner do local. Foi necessário jogar areia na pista por causa do derramamento de parte da carga.
