O acidente foi na altura do quilômetro 89, sentido São Paulo. Uma pessoa ficou com ferimentos leves. Segundo a Polícia Militar Rodoviária, a faixa três da Rodovia está interditada e há aproximadamente quatro quilômetros de lentidão no trânsito.

A concessionária que administra a via, Autoban, foi no local para fazer a sinalização.

O motorista do veículo seguia sentido sul quando avistou o animal tentando atravessar a Rodovia. O condutor não conseguiu frear e atingiu o cavalo que acabou morrendo ainda no local.

A família que estava no carro não ficou ferida. A concessionária que administra a rodovia, Autoban, foi acionada e ficou responsável pela sinalização do local e recolha do animal.
