Um drone será usado em operações de segurança como bloqueio de vias, busca de veículos furtados e sobrevoo de áreas de difícil acesso.

A Prefeitura da cidade adquiriu o aparelho por meio da Secretaria de Segurança Pública e Cidadania de Valinhos, no ano passado. O investimento de R$ 11 mil, veio através de uma emenda da vereadora Simone Bellini.

Na sexta-feira (12), um grupo de doze inspetores da GCM fez um treinamento para operar o drone.

A ferramenta oferece provas concretas no caso de situações ilícitas e é capaz de armazenar e transmitir imagens nas atividades de policiamento ostensivo. Tudo isso respeitando a vida, integridade física, intimidade, privacidade e a imagem das pessoas.

Além disso, o aparelho contribui também nas ações de inteligência policial, no monitoramento ambiental e de trânsito, no acompanhamento de alvos e no apoio à operações policiais.

Alguns guardas da corporação também já possuem licença para operar drones, certificados pela Defesa Civil do Estado de São Paulo pelo Curso Básico de Operação de Sistemas de Aeronaves Remotamente Pilotadas promovido pela Escola de Governo e Desenvolvimento do Servidor (EGDS) da Defesa Civil de Campinas.
