O acidente aconteceu próximo à Avenida Barbosa, na Vila Real.

Segundo testemunhas, a vítima tentou atravessar a linha férrea em meio a dois vagões e o trem o atingiu. O atropelamento está sendo investigado.

A vítima chegou a ser socorrida, mas não resistiu e morreu no local. A Guarda Municipal suspeita que ele seria morador em situação de rua.

O local foi preservado para os trabalhos da perícia. A Polícia Civil registrou o caso como homicídio culposo e vai apurar as circunstâncias.

Em nota, a Rumo, concessionária responsável pela linha de trem, lamentou o atropelamento e resumiu apenas que as causas serão investigadas pelas autoridades policiais.
