O suspeito disse que foi a esposa quem comprou o veículo, sem dar maiores detalhes.

Após a identificação, uma equipe de Ronda Ostensiva com Apoio de Motocicletas (Rocam) localizou o carro, um Chevrolet Ônix, na Avenida Pedro Cosenza, no Parque Doutor Dimas Cera Ometto.

Nada de irregular foi encontrado com o motorista, mas o carro tinha sinais de adulteração no chassi e motor. Com o auxílio de um scanner automotivo, a equipe conseguiu identificar a numeração original do chassi, que correspondia a um Chevrolet Captiva sem registro de ilícito.

De acordo com a PM, o motorista disse que foi a esposa quem comprou o veículo em São Bernardo dos Campos (SP), sem fornecer detalhes adicionais.

O suspeito foi levado até o plantão policial onde permaneceu preso. Ele deve responder por receptação.
