A Polícia Militar, que atendeu a ocorrência, contou que, por volta das 12h30, houve uma batida entre uma moto e um carro, no cruzamento entre a Avenida São Paulo e a Rua Gabriel Pereira de Brito.

A motorista do carro, disse que estava indo em direção a Rua Gabriel de Brito, ouviu um barulho e, quando desceu do carro, viu Carlos caído na rua.

Foi acionado o Corpo de Bombeiros para prestar socorro à vítima, levaram o motociclista para o Pronto-Socorro Edison Mano, mas ele não resistiu aos ferimentos e faleceu.

O corpo foi encaminhado ao Instituto Médico Legal (IML), e a Polícia Civil irá apurar as circunstâncias do acidente.

No mesmo local, já havia ocorrido outro acidente como esse há alguns meses, o motociclista ficou gravemente ferido e morreu após dias no hospital.
