O animal estava machucado, sem água e comida. O tutor de 28 anos foi detido.

Ainda segundo a polícia, o resgate aconteceu após denúncias recebidas pelo Setor de Investigações Gerais (SIG). A ação contou com apoio do Centro de Controle de Zoonoses (CCZ) e da Guarda Civil de Capivari.

No local indicado, os agentes encontraram o cão em condições deploráveis. O animal estava sem acesso a alimentação e água, além de estar cercado por sujeira e um forte mau cheiro.

O cão foi examinado por uma veterinária do CCZ, que constatou que o animal tinha ectoparasita (pulgas e carrapatos). O pitbull estava abaixo do peso regular para o porte e continha lesão na pele.

Conforme o registro do caso, o responsável pelo animal já havia sido denunciado ao CCZ e não o levou ao veterinário após a devida orientação.

O homem foi levado à Delegacia de Polícia de Capivari e ficou à disposição da Justiça.
