A ocorrência aconteceu por volta das 07h51 e foi atendida pela Polícia Militar (PM).

A equipe composta pelos policiais CB PM Luiz e SD PM Faria, estava patrulhando pela avenida quando foi acionada para atender um crime de furto.

As características do autor foram passadas e durante buscas o indivíduo foi localizado. O detido confessou o delito indicando onde havia escondido as barras de ferro retiradas da estrutura da grade de proteção existente no local.

Diante dos fatos o indiciado foi conduzido e apresentado na Central de Policia Judiciária, onde compareceu um representante da prefeitura, o qual reconheceu os objetos que foram restituídos a ele ao final dos trabalhos cartorários, sendo o indiciado liberado.
