O acidente aconteceu na Rodovia dos Bandeirantes (SP-348), em Campinas (SP).

Conforme apuração do Policial Padrão, a vítima conduzia uma moto Honda CG 160, quando na altura do km 80 bateu em um boi solto na pista.

Após o impacto, a vítima caiu sobre a faixa de rolamento do lado direito da rodovia e foi atropelada por diversos veículos. O motociclista chegou a ser socorrido ao Hospital Municipal Dr. Mário Gatti, mas não resistiu aos ferimentos.

Um dos veículos envolvidos no acidente, ficou no local e passou pelo bafômetro que não acusou embriaguez.

De acordo com o boletim de ocorrência, na área do acidente tem ocorrido diversos eventos relacionados a animais soltos na pista, por conta de obras para uma futura instalação de um posto de combustíveis.  

O caso foi registrado na 2ª delegacia Seccional de Campinas.
