Equipamento inclui armas, coletes, munição e uniformes.

De acordo com a prefeitura, esse foi o maior investimento bélico da história da corporação. O custo total foi de R$ 330 mil, sendo R$ 200 mil de emenda do ex-senador José Anibal e o restante, contrapartida do Município.

O investimento faz parte do processo de modernização que vem sendo realizado pela atual gestão.

A entrega aconteceu no Saguão do Paço Municipal, na presença do secretário de Segurança do Município, coronel Carlos Fanti, e do comandante da Guarda, Luciel Carlos de Oliveira, entre outros GCMs.

A aquisição inclui 28 pistolas Taurus calibre 9mm, 28 coldres, 28 carregadores de cartuchos, 10 coletes balísticos e 20 mil munições.

Além disso, a corporação também recebeu 165 peças de uniformes do mesmo padrão da Força Nacional de Segurança, cintos, bonés e coturnos.

A Prefeitura já havia adquirido no ano passado, outros armamentos para a corporação municipal.

Dentro deste processo de modernização do armamento, o prefeito e o coronel Fanti adiantaram que a próxima aquisição contará com mais carabinas, escudos balístico e pistolas spark (eletroincapacitante).
