Olímpia de Arruda Buck estava internada desde a última sexta-feira (21) e morreu nesta quinta (27). De acordo com o boletim de ocorrência, a idosa deu entrada no hospital depois de sofrer uma queda.

Um neto da idosa contou ter recebido a notícia de que ela caiu no dia 21, e que a avó, havia sido socorrida e levada pelo Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) à Central de Ortopedia e Traumatologia (COT).

No dia seguinte à internação, a idosa precisou ser transferida para a Santa Casa de Misericórdia devido uma fratura no fêmur, provocada a princípio, por uma queda da própria altura. Olímpia permaneceu seis dias na unidade hospitalar, onde não resistiu às complicações da lesão e morreu.

Embora os indícios sejam de morte acidental, a Polícia Civil determinou que o registro fosse feito como morte suspeita e o caso é investigado.
