Os contratos foram com as empresas Benelli Armi S.P.A e B&T USA LCC, respectivamente, e com os câmbios o investimento ultrapassou R$ 19,5 milhões.

Com essas aquisições, o arsenal da corporação chega a mil espingardas (cerca de 1,1 milhão de euros) e 875 submetralhadoras (cerca de 2,6 milhões de dólares).

Esse é mais um passo para o reforço e modernização das polícias paulista no combate ao crime e apoio nas investigações. 

Além dessas armas, a atual gestão já adquiriu 200 fuzis, seis metralhadoras leves e 134 armas de incapacitação neuromuscular. Todas as aquisições ultrapassam R$ 26,8 milhões.

Os novos armamentos têm previsão de serem entregues ainda neste ano, contudo por se tratar de compras internacionais depende da liberação do Exército.
