De acordo com o Corpo de Bombeiros Voluntários, o condutor de um Hyundai HB20 branco seguia no sentido da cidade de Sumaré, quando em uma descida perdeu o controle e bateu em um poste.

O Corpo de Bombeiros de Americana e Serviço e Atendimento Médico de Urgência (SAMU) também foram acionados para socorrer as vítimas.

Um homem de 35 anos, morador de Sumaré, foi socorrido fora do veículo. O motorista, de 39 anos, foi retirando das ferragens e encaminhado em estado grave ao Hospital Estadual de Sumaré.

O caso foi registrado no Plantão Policial de Nova Odessa.
