O treinamento, que conta com o apoio da companhia aérea que cedeu a estrutura, o hangar e um A330, tem o objetivo de aperfeiçoar técnicas para o enfrentamento de ocorrências dentro do aeródromo e das aeronaves, como em caso de sequestros.

Além disso, o treinamento possui o objetivo de familiarizar o COT com as peculiaridades do aeroporto em questão, garantindo respostas cada vez mais rápidas e efetivas em qualquer situação de risco à segurança aeroportuária ou da aviação civil.

Esse é o segundo treinamento do COT no aeroporto de Viracopos em 6 meses.
