O ataque aconteceu na noite de sexta-feira (5). De acordo com o boletim de ocorrência, o menino foi mordido no rosto e teve uma das orelhas decepada.

Primeiro, o garoto foi levado até o Hospital e Maternidade Municipal Dr. Acilio Carrion Garcia também em Nova Odessa, e na sequência, ele foi transferido para o Hospital de Clínicas (HC) da Unicamp em Campinas (SP), onde passou por cirurgia para reimplantar a orelha. A vítima não corre risco de morte.

A Polícia Militar (PM), recebeu a informação de que o cachorro havia escapado de um imóvel antes de atacar a criança, que brincava em frente à casa onde mora.

Alguns populares tentaram parar o animal e ele também ficou ferido. O cachorro não resistiu aos ferimentos e morreu.

A Polícia Civil (PC), investiga o caso.
