De acordo com a corporação, o local fica em um Sítio Boa Vista, área rural da cidade. Os agentes receberam a denúncia de que uma área de proteção ambiental estava foi vendida e que o proprietário estava desmatando o local.

A equipe foi até a área desmatada e constatou o desmatamento da área, porém ninguém estava no local. Durante uma pesquisa a Prefeitura conseguiu identificar o proprietário da área, e também dos funcionários que estavam realizando o corte das árvores, e foi feita uma multa de R$12.120,00, que condizem com 10 salários mínimos, de acordo com o Código de Posturas do Município.

O caso foi registrado na Polícia Civil, onde os trabalhos de investigações serão realizados.
