A data deve ser incluída no Calendário Oficial de Eventos do Município, a ser celebrada anualmente no dia 3 de setembro.

O projeto é de autoria do vereador Eliel Miranda e foi aprovado pelos vereadores durante a 5ª Reunião Ordinária do ano.

A data foi escolhida em homenagem aos profissionais da Guarda Civil, que desempenham um papel essencial na manutenção da segurança e da ordem pública.

A proposta busca prestar reconhecimento e homenagear os agentes de segurança municipal que se aposentaram ou foram reformados, em virtude do valioso trabalho realizado em prol do patrimônio público e dos cidadãos de Santa Bárbara d´Oeste.
