A ação tem como objetivo acolher moradores em situação de ruas nos próximos dias que serão de muito frio na cidade.

Segundo a GAMA, o acolhimento emergencial será necessário após o alerta da Defesa Civil do estado, sobre a previsão de baixas temperaturas nos próximos dias.

A Guarda Municipal, em apoio às demais Secretarias envolvidas na ação, acompanha o serviço de abordagem social no convite para que as pessoas em situação de rua se dirijam ao abrigo instalado no complexo da FIDAM.

Uma equipe da Guarda Municipal também permanece no local oferecendo segurança aos funcionários das Secretarias e aos munícipes que vão até o local realizar doações.

O abrigo irá funcionar até dia 3 de agosto, e estará aberto a noite toda para o acolhimento e durante o dia para o recebimento de doações. Os animais de rua também poderão entrar na FIDAM.
