Após o prazo, quem estiver com pendências no documento não poderá votar nas eleições municipais de outubro, quando serão eleitos prefeitos e vereadores nos 5.568 municípios do país.

O prazo deve ser observado para quem deseja mudar o local de votação, domicílio eleitoral, regularizar título cancelado, fazer alterações de dados pessoais e pelos jovens de 16 anos que vão votar pela primeira vez e querem solicitar o documento.

COMO REGULARIZAR

Devido ao fechamento dos cartórios eleitorais pelas complicações da covid-19, o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral lançou um site para regularização eletrônica do documento.

O tribunal oferece uma série de serviços que podem ser acessados de casa, sem a necessidade de se deslocar até uma unidade da Justiça Eleitoral. Consultas sobre situação eleitoral, endereço do local de votação e dados do título eleitoral, bem como a emissão de certidão de quitação eleitoral, são alguns dos serviços que estão disponíveis na internet.
