O indivíduo foi preso pela Polícia Militar.

A equipe dos soldados Machado e Isaac receberam a informação via rádio de que um indivíduo havia entrado na Escola Estadual João XXIII e furtado uma máquina de lavar modelo Vap, pulando o muro e fugindo sentido Rua Tuiuti.

Os agentes então se dirigiram até o local juntamente ao Comando Força Patrulha e, quando estavam na Rua Padre Manoel da Nóbrega, abordaram o indivíduo com as mesmas características citadas na denúncia e levando a máquina consigo.

Além da máquina de alta pressão, nada de ilícito foi encontrado com o indivíduo. Os fatos foram apresentados a Central de Polícia Judiciária de Americana, onde o indivíduo permaneceu preso e o equipamento foi restituído ao representante da Escola.
