A vítima conseguiu se soltar e correr para dentro de uma escola, em Cosmópolis. A Guarda Municipal conseguiu encontrar o suspeito momentos depois.

A Guarda Municipal estava em patrulhamento quando foi informada que um homem, que estaria de bicicleta, havia acabado de abordar uma menina de 11 anos, aluna da escola Nicolau Nolandi, e teria tentando a agarra-la a força e a levá-la para outro local a segurando pelo braço.

A menina conseguiu se soltar e correu para dentro da escola. Ela contou aos funcionários da unidade e escolas que chamaram a polícia. Um patrulhamento foi feito com vistas pelo homem pela rua Monte Castelo. Em determinado momento, um homem tentou fugir quando viu a viatura. O suspeito entrou em um estacionamento coberto de um mercado e os agentes conseguiram aborda-lo.

O rapaz, de 18 anos, foi levado para a Delegacia de Cosmópolis. A menina também foi levada e ela reconheceu o rapaz. Diante dos fatos, ele foi preso em flagrante por importunação sexual.
