Um morador que passava pelo local viu o cadáver e ligou para o Corpo de Bombeiros.

De acordo com a corporação, o cadáver estava na altura da Avenida Jaime Pereira, conhecida como Estrada do Bongue, a cerca de três metros da margem do rio.

A causa da morte ainda é incerta, e por isso, o corpo será encaminhado ao Instituto Médico Legal (IML) para análise e determinação das circunstâncias.

Peritos da Polícia Científica estiveram no local e o caso foi registrado no plantão policial de Piracicaba (SP).
