A prisão aconteceu na tarde de quinta-feira (3).

De acordo com a corporação, após denúncias da população ao departamento de Fiscalização de Taxas e Posturas, a equipe passou a monitorar o veículo dos suspeitos.

Assim que detectaram a entrada da van na cidade, viaturas da Guarda e dos departamentos de Fiscalização e Vigilância Sanitária abordaram o veículo no Jardim Tancredo Neves.

Durante a averiguação, a dupla disse que atuava apenas com a venda de armações. No entanto, os agentes encontraram embalagens com óculos, dinheiro, receitas e um equipamento refrativo usado em exames oftalmológicos dentro do veículo.

Os dois foram presos em flagrante. A Prefeitura de Indaiatuba estabeleceu multa no valor de R$ 6,4 mil por falta de alvará e licença sanitária. Eles devem responder por exercício ilegal da medicina e venda ilegal de produtos terapêuticos.
