A prisão aconteceu por volta das 17h, no bairro Jardim das Orquideáceas.

Os policiais estavam patrulhando na Avenida Mogi Guaçu quando avistaram um indivíduo em atitudes suspeitas.

O suspeito foi abordado e em busca pessoal nada de ilícito foi encontrado, porém ao realizar pesquisa criminal via COPOM, foi constatado que havia em seu desfavor um mando de prisão, expedido pela 1° Vara Criminal de Santa Barbara d’ Oeste, condenado pelo crime de furto (Art.155) em regime fechado.

Também foi realizada pesquisa no banco nacional de mandados de prisão, foi constatado um mandado de prisão, expedido pela 1ª Vara Federal de Piracicaba, condenado a quatro anos, sete meses e três dias de reclusão, regime semiaberto, por crime contra a fé pública (Art.289) por moeda falsa.

O caso foi encaminhado ao Plantão Policial, onde o mesmo permaneceu à disposição da Justiça e foi recolhido a carceragem local.
