De acordo com a Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM), os agentes Vermeson e Nascimento estavam em patrulhamento quando avistaram um indivíduo empurrando um carrinho do supermercado Balan contendo uma grade de bueiro.

O suspeito foi abordado, de inicio o mesmo alegou que havia furtado a grade e o carrinho foi fruto de uma doação. A equipe então foi até o supermercado, onde o gerente negou ter doado o carrinho.

O caso então foi encaminhado ao 1º Distrito Policial, onde o homem permaneceu preso. Os objetos furtados foram avaliados em aproximadamente mil reais.
