Os trabalhos são realizados por 1.300 policiais em 600 viaturas dos batalhões operacionais.

A operação é uma das diversas atividades de conscientização e preservação do Meio Ambiente, planejadas em comemoração à Semana Mundial do Meio Ambiente até o próximo domingo (6), com o objetivo de desenvolver ações de policiamento ambiental, voltadas a combater crimes e infrações ambientais e promover ações ligadas a restauração ecológica em todo o Estado de São Paulo.

Também haverá auditorias dos Termos de Compromisso de Recuperação Ambiental (TCRA) em áreas já fiscalizadas pelo policiamento ambiental, onde os responsáveis prontificaram-se a recuperar o dano causado ao meio ambiente.

Na sexta-feira (4) será realizada uma live na página oficial da Polícia Militar Ambiental sobre a temática “Impacto das queimadas na saúde da população” com a participação do Comando do Policiamento Ambiental, agentes da Polícia Militar especialistas em direito ambiental, e do médico Marcos Abdo Arbex especialista em pneumologia.
