Entre os novos veículos, estão duas viaturas pequenas para policiamento, uma viatura da Ronda Ostensiva Municipal (Romu), uma viatura adaptada para o trânsito e uma viatura do Grupo de Proteção Ambiental (GAPA)

De acordo com Osmir Cruz, secretário de Defesa Social e Mobilidade Urbana, é importante que a frota da Guarda esteja sempre renovada e bem equipada.

“Isso faz com que as atividades possam ser realizadas com maior qualidade e efetividade no município”, disse.

O veículo do GAPA inclui uma série de adaptações próprias para a importante função no resgate de animais silvestres do município e com prevenção a crimes ambientais. Entre os equipamentos estão uma gaiola, rede, pinça e gancho para manejo e captura de animais e caixas de contenção.

Neste mês, a prefeitura também inaugurou o Centro de Operações Integradas (COI). O sistema auxilia a GCM com inteligência e monitoramento por meio de 600 câmeras estrategicamente posicionadas no município.
