O curso ocorreu entre os dias 10 e 13 de janeiro, com o objetivo de formar operadores de fuzil e habilitá-los para o trabalho operacional. Foram abordados temas sobre história da plataforma AR15, funcionamento, manutenção e toda a parte de condução e utilização tática da plataforma no patrulhamento diário das equipes da Guarda Municipal de Rio Claro.

O corpo de instrutores responsáveis pela formação e habilitação é composto, em sua totalidade, por integrantes da corporação. De acordo com o cronograma de cursos, outros guardas também deverão passar pelos treinamentos.
