Equipes cumpriram quatro mandados de busca e apreensão e um de prisão na cidade, durante a manhã desta quinta-feira (3).

A ação é parte da ‘Operação Angarius’, que investiga uma organização criminosa que faz o tráfico internacional de drogas por meio de aeronaves.

De acordo com a PF, um hangar que fica no Aeroporto de Americana teve a operação bloqueada por ordem da Justiça. O local seria utilizado para manutenção e abastecimento de helicópteros usados no crime.

Ao todo, a polícia cumpriu 11 mandados de busca e apreensão e seis de prisão em São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul e Santa Catarina.

Na região, a operação contou com o apoio do 10º Batalhão de Ações Especiais da Polícia Militar (Baep) de Piracicaba (SP).

A polícia realizou o sequestro de bens móveis e imóveis e bloqueio de ativos financeiros, incluindo 17 veículos.

Todo o material apreendido foi apresentado na Polícia Federal em Piracicaba. Após o registro, os itens apreendidos vão ser encaminhados para Ponta Porã (MS).
