A equipe estava em patrulhamento quando suspeitou do condutor da moto Honda CG 160. No local, na Rua Narcisa de Abreu Soares, o motociclista foi abordado junto com o irmão dele que estava na calçada. Em um primeiro momento, nada ilícito foi localizado com eles.

Ao verificar a condição da moto, os policiais constataram que a numeração do chassis e motor estava apagada e que a placa não era do veículo.

A dupla foi conduzida ao Distrito Policial (DP), juntamente com a motocicleta. Apenas o condutor permaneceu preso por adulteração de sinal identificador. O irmão apenas assinou na condição de testemunha. A moto foi apreendida.
