A incineração aconteceu na manhã desta quarta-feira (6) e agentes policiais participaram da operação.

O comboio de viaturas foi até a sede da empresa ABL – Antibióticos do Brasil, localizada na cidade de Cosmópolis, onde a droga foi incinerada. A destruição também foi acompanhada por um Promotor de Justiça e funcionários do Ministério Público Estadual.

Foram queimadas cerca de 3,5 toneladas de maconha apreendidas pela PF em Uberaba/MG.

As drogas foram transportadas por comboio até uma usina da região, local em que ocorreu a queima. Com esta, somente em 2021, a Polícia Federal, em Uberaba, já incinerou cerca de 5.275 quilos de entorpecentes.

Além dos policiais envolvidos, a operação contou com a participação do Ministério Público Federal e Vigilância Sanitária, e seguiu todos os protocolos de cuidados sanitários do Ministério da Saúde.
