Seu corpo foi encontrado na manhã do último sábado (28), em um matagal de difícil acesso, próximo ao bairro Santa Elisa.

A Polícia Civil foi acionada por volta das 9h30 para comparecer em um matagal, onde o corpo de um homem havia sido encontrado. O cadáver apresentava vários ferimentos provocados por foice, em especial no pescoço, braço e perna.

Num primeiro momento, não foi possível sua identificação, pois a vítima usava apenas uma bermuda jeans e não portava nenhum documento de identificação. Posteriormente, uma jovem de 28 anos foi até o Instituto Médico Legal (IML) de Rio Claro, onde reconheceu o corpo da vítima fatal como sendo de seu pai.

De acordo com ela, seu pai Jameson Ribeiro da Silva vivia nas ruas e era usuário de drogas. Ela disse ainda que seu pai não tem documento de identificação pessoal.
