Conforme apuração do Policial Padrão, a batida aconteceu por volta das 19h30, na altura do km 65.

Um motorista de Sumaré (SP) seguia em um Honda Fit quando atingiu a moto conduzida por Bento, que levava uma passageira de 25 anos.

Com o impacto, os ocupantes da moto caíram na rodovia. Uma segunda moto que seguia logo atrás, precisou desviar da batida, mas o condutor perdeu o controle da direção e também caiu.

O motociclista envolvido na batida morreu no local. Já a passageira da moto, teve ferimentos graves e foi socorrida ao Hospital Unicamp.

Viaturas da polícia e unidades de resgate atenderam a ocorrência. O motorista do carro e o condutor da segunda moto passaram pelo teste de bafômetro que deu resultados negativos para alcoolemia.

A polícia registrou o caso como homicídio culposo na direção de veículo automotor.
