Segundo a Polícia Civil (PC), a motocicleta usada pela dupla para cometer os golpes era monitorada desde que um boletim de ocorrência de estelionato foi registrado.

De acordo com o registro, uma mulher procurou a Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM) após receber uma mensagem de uma suposta floricultura, informando que ela receberia um presente e deveria confirmar o endereço de entrega.

Em seguida, os dois suspeitos apareceram na casa da vítima e solicitaram o pagamento de uma taxa de entrega no valor de R$ 12,99. Ao tentar pagar o valor na máquina de cartão, a mulher foi informada de que o pagamento não havia sido aprovado.

A dupla, então, apresentou à vítima uma segunda máquina, que mais uma vez teria recusado o pagamento. Neste momento, a mulher começou a questionar os supostos entregadores. Ao perceberem a desconfiança, os dois homens subiram em uma motocicleta e fugiram.

Junto com os suspeitos, os guardas municipais apreenderam três máquinas de cartão, um aparelho celular, embrulhos de presente e R$ 45. O caso foi registrado no 1º Distrito Policial (DP) de Indaiatuba.
